I Bought a Hoglet

Hey there. First off, thanks for taking the time to read my overexcited post. I am thrilled to be writing, and can hardly wait to begin my journey with my baby hedgehog, or hoglet. I'd like to share the story of my initial fascination with hedgehogs.

A few weeks ago, I ventured to Connecticut for a BBQ with my boyfriend's family. It was about a hundred degrees. Meeting new people was enjoyable for a short time, however needed to escape into the AC. Just as we sat down the host came out holding the most adorable, prickly pet in her hands. I instantly melted. Holding a hedgehog is an experience like no other; they gush into your hands like goop. I wanted to take her home so badly. I fell in love with hedgehogs.

After returning home I researched as much as I could about breeders, care, and hedgie laws. A resident of New Hampshire, we live free or die with just about anything, including hedgehogs. SO I BOUGHT A HOGLET. I will be visiting Granite State Hedgehogs in Ashland, NH tomorrow to pick up my sweet little Algerian Grey. I can't wait another minute.
